Thriller Opening Treatment - Nicolas

The opening sequence of the thriller starts with an extreme close up of the eyes of a man. The eyes looks really scared. You see these eyes for round about 10 seconds, they are moving from side to side. After this the picture of these eyes is going smaller (25% of the display). At the other 75% of the display you see a second pair of scared looking eyes. You also see them for round about 10 seconds. These shot is going smaller (25%) too. The same thing happens with two more pairs of eyes until you have 4 different extreme close ups of different eyes.
At the end the camera zoomed in to the first pairs of eyes (100% of the display) the camera zooms back that you see the whole person, its a hostage.

Thriller Opening Treatment - Dan

The base story for the 'film' revolves around a detective trying to solve a chain of murders committed by killer. Unknown to said Detective, he is stalked by the killer various times and, had it not been for a friend requesting his assistance, he may have died.

OPENING SCENE ::

A man is in his house, reading a newspaper with reading glasses. He hears the crack of a branch in his garden, getting up and opening the door to investigate. He finds nothing. He turns back, closing the door behind him, and as something is swung at his head from behind, the scene ends.

Cue titles.

SETTING: A House.

CAST
Man. (Wears a shirt and tie and also makes use of reading glasses. Middle-aged?)


SHOT LIST:

- Establishing shot of the room the man is in.
- Panning shot of the man reading the newspaper while adjusting his glasses.
- Zoom shot on the man's face as he hears the branch crack.
- Mid-shot as he turns to go to the door.
- Match-En-Action of him opening the door.
- Over-The-Shoulder shot of him looking at the garden, seeing nothing.
- Long shot from outside of him turning and closing the door.
- Close Up of his face as he heads back to his chair and is attacked.

Story:

Start: attack on woodland ramblers titles

Middle: reporter reports on the attacks meets a priest who has some information

End: reporter solves the crimes and defeats the beast with the priests help

Start: two characters are walking through the woods enjoying each others company and some refreshments then a unknown person attacks. Violently. Credits roll. Reporter at her/his desk reading a paper (title of paper reads “FOREST ATTACK”) paper gets slammed down credits roll background is of paper headlines

Shot 1 Extreme close up of bike wheels turning fast cut to chains of the bike then fast cut to close up of the wheel braking and skidding on dirt, long shot of person getting off bike and dropping it on the floor.

Shot 2 P.O.V shot of the stalker looking at the person (blurred around the edges and black and white) panning through the undergrowth.

Shot 3 music builds up with a tempo that is getting faster, person2 (person’s mate4) jumps from around the tree music ends and the person1 jumps back toppling on to the floor and yells abuse at his mate.

Shot 4 P.O.V shot of the stalker looking at the scene bellow (blurred edges and b&w) panning through the undergrowth.

Shot 5 OTS shot over (person2 looking down at person1) lends a hand to person1 both are laughing now cam cuts to a close up of there hands clasped together cam cuts to a high angle shot of them walking around person1 pushing his bike

Shot 6 P.O.V shot of the stalker watching them and stalking them (blurred edges and b&w) tracking through the undergrowth slowly music start to build up very dramatic and scary building tension.

Shot 7 low angle of the two people conversing and walking over the camera music building up

Shot 8 the two hear a sound and look around fast cut to-

Shot 9 P.O.V shot stalker running towards the two from behind person 2 turns and the stalker jupms onto him breaking his neck camera cuts to a mid shot and person 1 turns goes to run away and trips over his bike

Shot 10 P.O.V stalker seizes its opportunity and leaps onto person1 slashing his flesh stalker hears sound and runs away cut to long shot of the massacrer. Fade to black

Shot 11 mid shot of reporter reading headlines then slaming down paper onto camera credits roll
