inspiration for my film treatment

as inspiration for my film i watched films such as: silence of the lambs, se7en, psycho and many others. I wanted in my treatment for their to be a beast stalking two people but this was to far into the realms of horror. so i have changed it to a stalker/killer who will follow two people into the woods and eventually kill them, then i would have a fade into black then into the next scene of a reporter reading a rival paper and then slamming it down to start the credits.

For my class presentation on thriller opening titles i chose to use Se7en. 

during my presentation i stopped and started the video: commenting on the editing techniques, sounds and the style of the sequence.

I did Reservoir Dogs for my thriller opening presentation.

I referenced the lines in the opening, names of characters, the plot, and various other specifics.

continuity storyboard

This continuity exercise, which was shared with former members of the group(who are now part of Group 8) was based on the simple concept of a person arriving late to school on his bike, racing to the classroom, and getting scolded for being late.

The exercise was originally focused on the borrowing of a DVD but upon consultation in the group, it was decided that someone being late to school would be a better way to work with continuity.

Various techniques are used in the exercise, including Match-on Action, the 180 Degree Rule and shot-reverse-shot, both as continuity examples and also tests of the rules themselves to see how they work(incase we would later wish to use them in our thriller).

Ryan was cast as the main character, with Daniel as the secondary character, and Cheryl Matthews as the teacher.
