Today we have been working on our Continuity Exercise, Editing and cutting it to the final, presentable version that will be uploaded by Ryan later.
In the making of the film, we were two members down, making us improvise with only 3 members and an extra. We filmed the whole film in the space of an hour, with about a minute of footage total being used in the final cut. While editing, we felt that some of the film did not make sense, and also discovered a large continuity error, but this was found too late and had to be included in the final cut.
If you can spot this, we'll be totally amazed. Not.
In our opinion, this came out very well, especially considering almost 50 minutes of the tape is what would be considered out-takes. We think that we managed to use Match-En-Action effectively in the film, adding to the experience.
Personally, I(and also Ryan) think we disregarded the 180 rule a few times, but it's all for the greater good of the film.
We have managed to stick very close to the final storyboard, though in watching you'll notice an extra part in the film that isn't in the storyboard. This was added mostly by chance - Normally people's laptop bags do not decide to kill themselves while you're filming. It couldn't be helped however, and as it looked good, it went into the final film.
